The steering group met to decide on the theme and came
up with a
Wild Wild West club night which was held on
Thursday 29th May.

Popstars perfomance
Doors were opened at 7pm
and the event was broadcast
live on FFTV.  There was a Big
Brother style Diary Room
called TP-TV where people
recorded their thoughts on
how the night was going. (It
was in a native American
Indian TeePee)  There was
also a drum workshop and
performance which went
down really well with everyone.
Resident Funky band " Dreamcatchers" performed brand
new songs as well as old favourites such
as 'Lean on Me' and 'Sunshine of your love'.
CDs of the band's new single 'Down to Hell'
were available to buy on the night and also
a 3-part DVD "Dreamcatchers - In the Studio"
following the band as they rehearsed and
recorded their new single.  
Popstars were also on the
bill with a few new cowboy
themed tunes which
everyone sang and danced
to. As well as Popstars some
of the member s are also im-
personators. Elvis, Mustang
Mick and Tom Jones were
joined this time by a new
The set and decorations for
the Wild Wild West scene
were made by the Funky
Flamingo artists with help
from Linda and Meg along
with the help of Funky
volunteers and residents
from Cambridge Mencap.
They painted backdrops and
made paper-mache
cactusses and horse heads
as well as a Sheriff's Office
and a Jail.
